Yes, it is true that many other paranormal clubs out there have many more members. It would be very easy to fill our ranks with a hundred people who are excited to be part of our work. Understand that the reason that GSI is as good as we are is that we work in a tightly woven group. We train and work together as well as having fun. I think if we were to grow to be the size of many other groups in the area, we would loose that professional edge and be more of a social group than a serious investigative unit. We do a lot of client based investigations. People that call us do so because we have the people, equipment and ability.
Type of membership you are seeking:
Investigator:
(To be an Investigator you MUST attend a minimum of one meeting per month. You will be on probation and have an "in training" status until the team is comfortable with your abilities. This time period may be different for each person. Investigator status puts you in direct involvement in investigations and you will be required to attend investigations and carry out direct investigative duties as assigned. You will be a front line person on the G.S.I. team and will be expected to be professional, reliable and active in the group. You may wear G.S.I. logo-wear and may be involved in public appearances as required. )
We are NOT currently taking apps for INVESTIGATORS. You may join as a Team Member and be placed in line for the next investigator opening. If your serious about being in our elite team- join as a Team Member!
Team Member:
If you wish to attend less often yet still be involved, you may do so as a "team member". Team members may go to the investigation sites and act as "command center" personnel, as well as be involved in other aspects of the investigation but will not be directly in charge of direct PRIVATE HOME OR BUSINESS investigations. Team members may be involved in "Public" Investigations such as cemeteries and the like. Other team member duties and privileges include background research, admin duties, web apps, evidence review, site set up and take down, record keeping, communications and other duties. To maintain status as a "team member" you must attend at least 7 meetings per year. Team Members are privilege to all information involving all investigations. You may wear G.S.I. Logo-wear. )
Associate:
(Associate members may attend only public meetings without prior invitation. They have no minimum attendance requirements. Associate members will be allowed only public information about investigations. Associates may be involved in social gatherings with the team, parties and other activities.
